Wednesday June 22nd for self identified Trans people only.
Wednesday, June 29th for anyone who self identifies with the topic.

This will be a group discussion for those of us who are seeking ways to find intimacy with ourselves and others while in a body that gives us some degree of unease and discomfort. That discomfort may be labeled as Dysphoria or Dysmorphia, but the scope of this group is not limited to those specific labels. The idea of Intimacy will include Physical, Mental and Emotional Intimacy, not limited to just the idea of sexual contact. I, as host, will share some of my personal experiences, successes and failures with anyone who is willing to hold the space for me, and in return I will hold the space for them to do so.

The doors will open at 7:00 and there will be some social time before 7:30 when the doors will be closed to newcomers. We will have an opening circle, and begin the discussion. My intention is for this group to be educational and informative, I hope everyone finds the event to be therapeutic, however this is not therapy, and I am not a therapist. This discussion matter can be very intense and possibly triggering. Attendees must keep that in mind as they share their own experiences and listen to the experiences of others. Attendees will not be obliged to share anything they do not feel comfortable sharing, but we all have a responsibility to hold the space for each other to express ourselves honestly. Nudity will be allowed in the space for anyone who would feel comfortable being so, but the event is not about sexual contact, and that will not be allowed.

This may very well be an intense space where we will speak intimately of our difficulties. I believe that this discussion will be of great benefit to myself, and for others. In order to do so, we must keep in mind that a lot of intense emotions may come to the surface. We must assume that we, individually, will find something triggering during the course of the evening. We will all hold the space for each other as best we can, but ultimately Attendees will be responsible for holding their own shit together.

About your host, Jadzia:

I am the host April, but I most commonly known as Jadzia in the Kink and Sex Positive community. I have been living openly as a Queer Trans Person for 7 years, and I identify Kinky and Sex Positive. I volunteer with the CSPC, and have been a volunteer with other Queer and Kink community organizations. I care about finding peace within myself, and helping others to do the same. My knowledge comes from my lived experience. I am aware of difficulties in life that I have not and may never experience, and I acknowledge there are blind spots in my understanding and ways of thinking of which I am not aware.
