Consent Procedures are detailed, “how-to” documents for what happens when someone breaks your consent policy. They are complex, individual to each organization, and absolutely necessary. Not only do they provide a checklist for your staff and volunteers when something happens, they give transparency to everyone about what to expect when they report or are reported as part of a consent incident. Procedures take time to put together, and they’re worth it. This workshop provides a template for building consent procedures. We’ll talk about best practices, things to watch out for, and templates for procedure creation. We’ll go over examples you can use and discuss directions you can take. If your organization doesn’t have a written consent procedure, or yours is out of date, take this class.

3 Hour Online Zoom Workshop with Q&A throughout. Handouts and Zoom link will be emailed on the morning of the workshop.

About the Educators:

The Consent Academy is an educational collective with dedicated educators, coaches, and activists who provide quality consent training and consultations. We promote Consent Culture through education, speaking out, and supporting organizations along their consent journey. Our classes are taught by a rotation of available educators using curriculum developed and shared by all of us. Where possible, we try to teach in pairs.
